For years, families in a rural community in Ghana’s Upper West Region depended on an unsafe stream, exposing children like eight-year-old Seidu to frequent waterborne illness and missed school days. We worked with community leaders and residents to establish a reliable clean-water source closer to home, together with practical training in hygiene, sanitation, and safe water storage. The community-led project is helping families protect their health, reduce the daily burden of finding safe water, and give children like Seidu a better chance to learn, play, and thrive.
