Chisomo’s Story: Overcoming Barriers to Education
Born with a physical disability, Chisomo faced mobility and accessibility barriers that gradually kept her out of the classroom in rural Malawi. As she grew older, the difficult journey to school and inaccessible entrance made regular attendance nearly impossible. With a properly fitted wheelchair, improvements to her school, and support from teachers, family, and community members, Chisomo returned to class, reconnected with her friends, and rediscovered confidence in her education and future.
